Customer's Fault Description
The battery holder corroded badly and the controller stopped working. I replaced the battery tray but it still does not work.
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This fireplace control and receiver arrived safely and on testing the remote was dead.

This was due to a missing capacitor and break in the print.  The print was reworked and the capacitor replaced which restored full functionality.
