Rollertech V2 PDTKF04-433RC Remote Repair Details
Manufacturer : Rollertech V2
Model : PDTKF04-433RC
Customers Fault Description : I accidentally put this remote in the washing machine. The light illuminates red when I press the buttons but the garage doors don't open/shut. I am not sure if the garage remote needs repair or whether the remote needs re-coding to the garage.
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This garage door controller arrived safely and on inspection had a badly damaged case that was held together by tape.
On testing the led indicator would flash slowly rather than constantly. This is an indicator of bad voltage. When opened a cr2032 was found to be inside the control, this is only 3volts and the true voltage should be 6volts by using 2 cr2016. The correct batteries were inserted and a replacement case was fitted.
Once retesting the remote was acting as normal and a RF signal was present. It may be possible that the customer needs to re-pair the remote with its receiver (this is something we cant do here as it needs to be with its receiver).
