Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Sun remote control arrived safely and on inspection the bottom of the control was split open and also some of the button caps were missing.
When a battery was inserted the terminals were found to be shorting intermittently. A heatshrink insulator was fitted which rectified this issue. Please note that any battery that was inserted into this remote when the "shorting terminals" were present then it is advised to dispose of them and replace with a brand new battery!
It was then found that some buttons were "sluggish", a replacement conductive pad was fitted which restored full functionality.
