Mertik Maxitrol Remote Repair Details

Manufacturer : Mertik

Model : Maxitrol

Customers Fault Description : Fire is switching off with the remote but won’t switch on. When the bottom button Is pressed the red light lights up but it doesn’t light when the top button is pressed or when the top and ignition buttons are pressed simultaneously.
There is no obvious loose connection (or at least not to my inexperienced eyes!) The circuit panel isn’t fixed in place but the button button triggers the red light when the corresponding button on the circuit board is pressed but top button doesn’t.

Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :

This fire controller arrived safely and on testing was found to have a faulty safety button (bottom left), this was stopping the control from actuating the up channel.

The UP and safely button were replaced which restored normal functionality, now when you press both the safety and UP channel together the signal is present.
