Customers Fault Description : pressing and holding the up button makes noise but the fire does not go up. The down button does not work at all.
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This fire control and receiver arrived safely. On testing the remote was found not to be transmitting on the down channel, this was due to a faulty 40khz oscillator in the handset, this was replaced which restored functionality to the remote.
When testing the receiver it was found to be emitting a constant 2.5 volts without any button being pressed on the remote. This was due to 2 transistors being shorted. These were replaced which restored normal functionality.
