Exodus smart switch system Remote Repair Details

Model : smart switch system

Customers Fault Description : No mode lights seen when pressing all the buttons. Batteries changed Fault remains.

Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :

This remote arrived safely and on testing the battery compartment was faulty meaning that power was not getting to the main board unless the battery was held firmly into place.  A PP9 battery clip was fitted in place of the original terminals which restored solid power to the remote.

It was then found that the buttons would acct erratically.  This was found to be a short within the layers of the facia itself.  Sadly the facias are not available as spare so the original was required to be split into layers. This was done and the print corrosion was reworked which restored full functionality.  Unfortunately the facia is old and as it was peeled apart the print started to flake away from the layers.  Please view the testing video for a visual image of the remote in its current state.
