Sony Hard Disk Recorder SVR-HDT1000 the Buttons no longer work the recorder
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This hard disk recorder controller arrived safely and on testing was confirmed dead.

On opening there was a large mass of liquid over the entire button array.  This was cleaned up which restored partial functionality.  Some buttons were found to be non responsive, this was due to the contamination breaking down the conductivity of the pads.  Replacement conductive pads were glued onto the effected buttons which restored full functionality.
