Model : 5 button 8 pin control unit

Customers Fault Description : Outer insulation of wire to conttol deteriorating and frayed. Control works but not safe.

Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :

This celebrity remote arrived safely and on inspection the cable was damaged at the remote end.  The cable was cut back to bypass the break and soldered directly onto the PCB.
