Customer's Fault Description
Noticed a small handful of buttons (all on the right side) stopped working about 6 months ago. Now I see some of on the left are starting to to go, too. The buttons that work all make the AMP (top left) button light up. The ones broken are:

- SAT/CATV<br />
- VIDEO 1<br />
- SA-CD/CD<br />
- Airplay<br />
- Source<br />
- Sound Field +<br />
- Red Button<br />
- Cursor left<br />
- Cursor right<br />
- Skip left (marked REPEAT)<br />
- Skip right (marked SHUFFLE)<br />
- Stop (marked D.TUNING)<br />
- Mute<br />
- Sleep (bottom right)<br />

Note, some buttons won't work in certain states, ie: the Guide button and return only work if switched to TV (Marked 6). Pressing some buttons such as Zone and TV (next to zone) will put the remote into another set-up - which I don't pretend to understand! Press AMP (top left) to return to normal.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Sony AV system remote arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to have many non functioning buttons.
On opening there was a mass of liquid over much of the button array (see images), this had corroded through parts of the print. The item was cleaned up and the print reworked, this restored full functionality to all buttons.
