The 'ON/OFF' button is not working. All other buttons seem to be OK.
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This JVC controller arrived safely and on testing the power button was found to be responding albeit sluggishly.

The remote was opened to check for defects and thats when the problem became clear.  There was a mass of liquid over the top 3rd of the PCB and button pads (see images).  This was all cleared up.
