The battery holder compartment does not hold the battery in place and the remote has not been used for a number of years.
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This aircon remote arrived safely and on inspection the battery terminal was broken away from the PCB.

The terminal was resoldered back into position and then reinforced using hot-melt glue, please take care when replacing the battery as the design of this terminal housing is quite poor and i can see why it broke in the first place.  I have included a brand new Duracell battery which should last a while.
