Gazco Remote Repair Details
Manufacturer : Gazco
Customers Fault Description : When I renewed the batteries remote got very hot
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This fire control arrived safely and on inspection all buttons were missing, the case was melted / deformed and the battery cover was missing.
Replacement case, battery cover and buttons were fitted from a scrap controller (new items are not available as spares). On testing the signal was erratic, this was found to be due to a poor solder joint around the IR led. This was resoldered which restored full functionality.
Please note that any battery that has previously "overheated" must not be re-used as this can cause severe damage to any item. Dispose of them and only use new batteries.
