Customer's Fault Description
Thought needed new battery even though not showing 'bat' in window. Light on electrical box connected to fire can be lit if pushed in manually (pt. G30-ZRRS). Remote not responding at all, tried 2 batteries just in case.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This fireplace control and receiver arrived safely and on testing was found not to respond from its remote.
The receiver was found to have badly corroded battery terminals (see images), the battery block was replaced which restored partial functionality. The 40khz was faulty, this was replaced in the received which restored full functionality.
The buttons were also replaced in the remote as they were "sluggish"
