Flamerite YCT-100 Remote Repair Details
Manufacturer : Flamerite
Model : YCT-100
Customers Fault Description : Accidentally spilt coffee onto the remote.
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This fire control arrived safely and on testing was found to have erratic functionality, sometimes some buttons would not respond and sometimes the LED would illuminate without a button being pressed.
On inspection there was contamination over the main PCB, see image. This was cleaned up and some bad solder joints resoldered. Then all buttons were replaced which when removed revealed contamination under the buttons themselves, this was cleaned up and new buttons fitted. This restored full functionality.
Please note that the included battery that was sent with the remote will be low in charge therefore a new battery is highly recommended as the control randomly functioning without a button press will have depleted the battery.
