Customer's Fault Description
There is no power to the remote controller when new batteries are inserted. It is difficult to put the battery cover back on and after fiddling with the batteries, sometimes the power comes on. Its an intermittent fault, the connectors to the board seem to be poor.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Glow Worm controller arrived safely and on inspection the battery terminals were bend inwards (see image), this is usually due to a attempted opening.
These were bent back into place and then when tested the remote was found to be very intermittent. The screen would go off when shook.
This was due to the ribbon cable on the screen "creeping" out of its socket, this was re-seated which restored solid functionality.
