Multiglow classic 2 Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : On/off buttons have always needed pressing hard to get the remote to respond to the box on the wall to turn on fire. Now remote will not work. I have changed batteries and checked fire on at wall and doesn’t work. Also pointed towards camera screen on phone and no infra red flicker from remofe

Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :

This fireplace controller arrived safely and on testing was found to be dead.

The battery compartment had signs of a battery leakage, when opened the print was found to have some corrosion over parts of its print from the battery leak.

The print was reworked and the oscillator replaced, also replacement button caps were fitted on all buttons which restored full functionality.
