Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This fireplace control arrived safely and on inspection the back case was heavily modified due to bad battery terminals.
Due to the glue on the board replacement terminals were not an option and also when opened there were cracks all around the PCB where an attempted opening was carried out.
Due to the damage a repair to the original board was not possible but a donor PCB was fitted which restored full functionality.
Please note that this remote will need to be "paired" with the receiver upon return.
