Customers Fault Description : top Buttons work when the flap is shut lower buttons underneath panel dont work when opened.

This Sony controller arrived safely and on inspection the mode switch was found to be at faulty. An attempt to clean the switch contacts was carried out but the problem persisted.
Eventually a replacement switch was obtained, this was slightly larger so a modification internally had to be carried out. This restored full functionality.
