Customers Fault Description : Remote does not work at all despite new batteries

This fire remote arrived safely and on inspection the back casing was broken in 2 parts and the remote was dead.
The break looked to have continued to the print itself. The pcb was cracked and had caused a few open circuits. The print was reworked and hot glued to strengthen it. This restored full functionality.
The back casing was then glued back into place.
A replacement Duracell battery was also supplied to the customer.
