Curly cable has damaged outer - everything works OK though, although would be grateful if you can inspect/clean the internal switch contacts as some appear less responsive than others. I understand that you may need to replace the cable with a straight lead rather than a curly one.

No function, the remote is dead. It should wake when held in the palm of your hand but nothing happens. One of the batteries leaked and the remote now no longer functions, although it looks fine except for some small corrosion around the battery contacts.

Quad 77 System Console Repair
Control started being intermittent, cured with a reset, but has now locked up totally. This may be to do with the rechargeable batteries (soldered onto the board) failing - this was the issue last time it was repaired by Quad (who no longer service them). I think that the internal NiCad batteries were replaced with NiMH batteries at this service.

All buttons (especially the two smaller ones to the left as you look at the remote) either do not work when depressed or require a lot of pressure in order to work. Also, in attempts to detect what the issue was I have removed the rubber from the casing which will need fitting back in (the rubber lining will be sent with remote)

I let it fall and the back came off and a spring jimped out the battery is slack now
