The remote and receiver work but only when you hold the remote about 1 inch from the receiver.

wont switch one - tried new batteries and nothing. Fireplace is only about 3 years old and only been on about 5 times in total. There is no other way to switch on the fire other than remote so we are a bit snookered.

Controller cable broke so re-wired now only one button working intermittantly. Will need new controller cable at least.

not working board has damage by top diodes hair line crack and pad to solder to is missing was intermittent working but not since the capacitor and diodes were re soldered [the track that's got crack is one at top that goes to red led has a blob of solder over it]

All the remote buttons work intermittently. When working the remote screen lights up and makes an audible beep.
