The instructions say that the LED light should come on when you press the red button but there's no light comes on even after we replace the battery. Mertik Maxitrol - Controller and Receiver Repair
Having problems with the receiver. Buttons on the remote control work fine, however the receiver doesn't respond when the up and down buttons on the controller are pressed. After playing around with the batteries for a while, I managed to get the receiver working, but it would only respond to an 'up' command - not a 'down' command. Then went to use the controller 20 minutes later and neither 'up' or 'down' would work. Seems to be a problem with the state of the battery tray in the housing unit. Have tried to clean it but think it needs a specialist clean or a new tray.
