Detached negative wire to battery connector. Also when battery is connected handset is permanently on. Green light on constantly and should only light up when two on buttons are depressed for a few seconds.

These are the original remote and receiver for the gas fire. This receiver failed and I bought another and this has now failed. The remote is original and has worked with both receivers.
