Gazco Repair
The SET button isn’t working properly. It does work intermittently but not often enough to be used to change settings. Also the battery cover doesn’t stay in place. You have already let me know that you’re unable to get a replacement cover, but if you can have a look at it I would really appreciate it. I can’t see anything broken to explain why it won’t stay shut but it may be that you can see something I’m missing! If not, the elastic band will become a permanent feature!

The remote works from time to time. We have changed the batteries twice to make sure that batteries isn't the problem. When we use the fan buttons to switch off the fan it takes a long time to work. The lights also take a long time to switch on and off.

Fire wouldn’t ignite, changed batteries in power pack and remote and also found loose connection in remote. Did temp fix and get fire to ignite but could not get it to turn off. Not sure if just remove fault or fire too, thank you

Will not power up even with new battery installed. But remote does power up when connected via a umbilical cable to the control module of the motor mover. But the buttons can be intermittent at times. The remote has power up via battery once but it won’t do it again even with a brand new battery installed

While the remote does connect to the caravan mover and allow full function, it intermittently will not switch on. This worries me a bit as it could fail at a key time. Not sure if the red switch on the side is a bit dodgy or if something is loose inside.

SONY Repair
Most, if not all, soft touch buttons are either non-functional or slow at responding / working. The main fault area is around the central region of the remote, namely from the 'SYSTEM MENU/TITLE LIST/GUIDE' row below to the 'REPEAT/PAUSE/STOP' row of buttons. Generally speaking the remote is a very good condition, albeit has collected dust (and perhaps dirt/debris?) over the 15+ years since being originally purchased.

Remote has an intermittent problem where the red light on the unit fails to work. However, if I leave the unit for a short while it works, but not all of the time. Luckily the fire has a manual override to switch it off.

Merrill Maxitrol Repair
The remote has flashing battery icon which would indicate that the battery needs replacing. I have replaced the battery with 3 New Duracell 9v batteries but the battery icon still flashes. After replacing battery it will not communicate with fire.
