Wire replacement needed - more than one core damaged and severed across two parts of the wire connecting the remote to the controller under the chair. https://remotefixer.co.uk/rf5655.html - same repair as what was done here.
Mertik Repair
Remote seems to be working, Receiver does not. LED flashes briefly on battery insertion, does not flash when when remote is presses
Dometic Repair
Battery terminal has broken at the bottom of remote, broken bit in casing. Casing screw missing that’s why it’s taped. Not sure if buttons are working as the motorhome is new to us and this is how we found the remote control.
BMW dvd entertainment Repair
It was previously working intermittently and now appears to have stopped working
DRU Repair
The controller was not used for a long time and the batteries deteriorated. We cleaned the connection and got some readout on the display but nothing to be able to control the fire.

Stopped working but works sometimes but very, very sluggish
Celebrity Repair
Remote control was intermittent - could hear motor going for a while but now doesnt work at all and the leg rest is now stuck in horizontal position. Batteries in motor and electrics of chair - light is on. Just remote not talking to chair and the wire covers near to remote are exposed.

Celebrity Repair
Hand set is not functioning at all and no light is coming on. Using a non contact test pen it shows that the power is getting all the way up the cable and into the handset

Will lower the gas fire but will not higher the fire, all lights flash, never had any battery leakage in remote or receiver.
