Gazco Mertik maxitrol thermostatic Repair
I changed the battery and the battery was saying it was low but it was a brand new battery. The connection to the battery became loose on the black wire. It randomly worked once but now I can’t turn off the fire. Something is wrong with the remote. I couldn’t adjust the flame when it did work that once but now it doesn’t work at all.

Battery has been replaced in remote but lpw battery indicator still flashing. Receiver does not appear to be receiving any signal from remote, no beeps or movement or gas valve when buttons pressed. Voltage at receiver from battery pack with new batteries was 5.91V.
Mertik maxitrol Repair
After changing batteries ready for winter, the receiver isn’t working. I assume it’s the receiver as the remote led shines when buttons are pressed, but not the receiver led. All worked fine throughout last winter!
