Remote control not working. All buttons not responding.

When batteries are first inserted, the power light comes on. No further button presses lead to any power nor does the power button seem to work.

Reverse and adjoining side button presumed as cause of not activating the caravan mover in these directions. Quattro tech suggested that 'There’s a copper railing which connects those two buttons and when that goes funky it’s a common issue for both those buttons to go at the same time!'
